Mitsui Garden Hotel is a good hotel in Japan when travelling here. Founded in 2010, the Mitsui Garden is a modern, comfortable hotel in a great location for sightseeing in Kyoto. It is a good mid-range hotel on one of Kyoto’s main avenues. The rooms are on the small side (as is to be expected in a mid-range Japanese hotel), but they are well-designed and equipped with everything you could need.
Facilities and services in Mitsui Garden Hotel
All rooms are fully en suite, but the hotel also has a very pleasant communal bathhouse, available to guests to use for free. As is usual in Japanese baths, bathing arrangements are communal and segregated by sex. The hotel has its own restaurant serving Japanese-style cuisine, but with so many other fantastic options on your doorstep, we don’t recommend eating in!
The location is one of the Mitsui Garden’s best assets, just six minutes’ walk from both Karasuma Station and Shijo Station, slap-bang on one of Kyoto’s main ateries. The Yuzen Gallery of silk dyeing and Mibu Temple are just around the corner, and all of Kyoto‘s famous sights are easily accessed from the hotel.
